Margaret and Jimmy married in early December in her hometown of Baltimore, to perfectly welcome the holiday season. They are two people who love each other and those near them so well, it was a joy to celebrate them.
Their wedding morning started a little differently. They kicked off the day with a run around Fells Point with their friends. Afterwards, Margaret got ready in her childhood home in Baltimore, while Jimmy got ready with his brothers at the Pendry.
After the sweetest first look in her parents home, their crews were off to the George Peabody Library for portraits. From there, they made their way to St. Ignatius Church, where Margaret’s parents’ longtime friend, Father Watters, married them.
Winter greenery and festive velvet bows lined the center aisle, creating simple and classic holiday elegance. After exchanging vows, a bagpiper led the entire group from St. Ignatius through Mt. Vernon to the George Peabody Library for the reception, creating one of the most memorable transitions of the day.
Inside the Peabody, guests stepped into a warm winter cocktail hour complete with velvet linens, deep red florals, a green velvet lounge vignette, and piano music played on the library’s grand piano—beautifully decorated with Charlie Brown Christmas trees.
When it was time for dinner, guests entered the iconic library and were greeted by tables that felt like still-life artwork. Candelabras, etched glass, mismatched velvet linens, and thoughtful touches created a magical atmosphere. At each place setting, guests found a Christmas cracker filled with playful surprises (pink paper crowns, pearl necklaces, custom matchboxes, candy cigarettes, or stick-on mustaches) which brought so much joy.
After special toasts from their siblings, the newlyweds shared a choreographed first dance to “Margaret” by Lana Del Rey. Later into dancing, they cut their vintage Lambeth-style wedding cake topped with red cherries and enjoyed espresso martinis from an espresso martini tower.
The celebration didn’t end when the dance floor closed. Everyone gathered on buses and continued to an afterparty at The Horse You Came In On in Fells Point. They even assigned friends to manage the playlists on the buses, ensuring the music—and the energy—never stopped.
What a magical day it was celebrating these two at a Knight at the Library!
